The minimum payment is the pre-determined amount set by the bank, which is necessary to avoid overdue debt. Interest will be charged at 36% per year on the difference between the recommended and minimum amounts. For example, if the recommended payment is 500 GEL and the minimum is 300 GEL, interest will be charged on 200 GEL (500 - 300 GEL) calculated to the day.

The recommended payment is the amount suggested by the bank, which allows you to benefit from completely interest-free installments (effective 0%). The recommended payment can be made in full or in stages until the payment date you chose. For example, if your recommended payment is 200 GEL in total, you can pay 200 GEL incrementally from the settlement date to the payment date.

You can repay the debt and refill the limit using the following channels: TBC Pay, from quick payment terminals (choose Silk Bank in financial institutions, then Mere, and make the payment). If you’d like to reduce your monthly payment by extending your repayment period, you can use the Payment Extension feature in Mobile Banking —for up to 15 additional months. A 1% service fee applies for each extra month you add. Both your outstanding balance and the service fee will be evenly distributed over the new repayment period. Please note that the service fee amount must be available on your Mere Card balance at the time of extension. The Payment Extension option is also available for cash withdrawals or transfers made from your Mere Card. You can use the Payment Extension at any time — either before your first payment or after one or several payments have already been made. If you have multiple active payments from your Mere Card, you’ll need to select the specific transaction you want to extend. Example: if you made a purchase in a store and the amount was split into 6 monthly payments. You’ve already made the first payment, but you’d like to extend the remaining 5. You can extend the period by 1 to 10 additional months: • If you extend by 1 month, a 1% fee applies, and your total amount (plus the 1% fee) will be distributed over 7 months in total; • If you extend by 10 months, the total term becomes 15 months, and the service fee will be 10%.
